Markets (illustrative — every market is fictional). Lines written, deal size, capacity, usual retention, rate on line, target and excluded sectors, and the quotes each has given.

A transaction risk practice does not need to change how it places deals to start. It needs one team, a handful of closed deals to replay, and the discipline to read the agreement numbers before raising anything.

Weeks 1–3: set up

Sign-in through the Insight identity platform; the roster with roles (deal broker, placement lead, practice leader, compliance, analyst) and each broker’s authority limit; the markets with their appetite — lines, sectors, size range, capacity, retention band and rate-on-line range.

Weeks 4–6: replay closed deals

Load data rooms from deals the team has already placed. Did the exclusion agent predict the exclusions the policy actually carried? Did the gap agent find the reps that were narrowed? This is the cheapest evidence there is, and it costs no client anything.

Weeks 7–12: live, at draft

Every action at L1. Brokers answer every prepared decision; the answers accumulate as agreement per agent and action. Controls are tuned — the retention band, an extra refer — and published with versions.

What to measure: days from data room to submission, deal-specific exclusions predicted versus received, binder differences caught before acceptance, and agreement with each agent. Define them before you start and take them from the product’s own record.
